PTO engagement lever grinds when tractor is running but engages smoothly when tractor is off.
Hi all. I'm new to farming, former corporate slave, and have been using a MF2615 and Silvan 6ft slasher for nearly a year. One of the mounting pads is loose, and on closer inspection it looks like the steel has fractured near the bolt holes. Using 19mm spanners, ratchets and hammers for the god of my I can't get the bolts loose. Do I need a rattle gun for this type of task or should they be relatively free to spin off? Also, do I need a completely new mounting bracket (unsure of the name) or can I continue to use once I get the bolts tightened up? Right now my only solution is to cut the bolts off, and replace the mount plus bolt asembly (this sub won't let me spell that properly??!!! Due to "a s s"). It's also the most expensive option. What's the name of the mount thingo?
What’s the best service manual available and where? I’m having some trouble with the lift arms not wanting to raise which I would assume to be no hydraulic pressure. Also having a problem with the lever to engage the pto backward into position grinds when the tractor is running but will engage when off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I was driving my 261 Massey Ferguson tractor today, tilling up a field, when my power steering started working a lot worse. I took it back quickly, and there was a large oil leak. The first 2 pictures show the left side cover off, and the next picture shows the right cover off. There is a hose sticking out that looked like oil had been passing through it. It looks like it got disconnected somehow. I turned it back on again, and it appears that the steering wheel isn’t even connected to the wheels anymore. I can turn and turn but nothing happens. Does anyone know what this issue is, or the very least know where the oil line is supposed to hook up to? I was making some pretty sharp turns, maybe that was what did it. Anyways.. Thank you in advance for your help
