This recall involves 1023E, 1025R and 2025R Compact Utility Tractors with the model number and "John Deere" printed on the hood. The recalled tractors are green and yellow, and were sold with both opened and closed operator stations. The serial numbers of tractors included in this recall can be found at www.deere.com. Click on "Parts & Service" and scroll to "Recall" or go to www.deere.com/en/parts-and-service/recall-information/. The serial number is located on the frame, on the front right side of the tractor, near the engine.
This recall involves Gator utility vehicles with model number XUV590E, XUV590M, or XUV590M S4 printed on the hood. "John Deere" and "Gator" are also printed on the cargo box. The recalled utility vehicles have side-by-side seating for two or four people and were sold in green and yellow, olive & black, or TrueTimber® Kanati® Camo colors. Known Issues
PTO shaft sensor failed and disabled the tractor. Repair cost $500.
DEF pump failed, requiring replacement of central processors and reprogramming. Warranty repair estimated at $2700.
Two 4052M tractors purchased new; both needed repairs before delivery. 2018 model (614 hours) in shop 6 weeks; creep issue, abnormal noise, defective damper, transmission seal leak, peeling hood paint. Deere aware of damper issue; repair kit exists but no recall issued.
Front sensors on front wheels failed, throwing off multiple error codes. Required dealership repair costing $1700.
Joystick button will not open/close grapple without engaging rear hydraulic ports. Front hydraulic valve assembly suspected as cause. Technician noted replacing valve assembly on another customer's M-series before one lasted.
