John Deere Buck 500 Atv brake cable for rear brake
low

Recently purchased a Buck 500 atv for some general usage around the acerage here. Everything seems to work With one exception, which is proving to be a challenge. The rear brake is operated in two ways, from the right foot pedal, just like on a motorcycle. The other way is via a lever on the left handlebar. The foot brake works fine, so really I don't absolutely have to fix the lever, but it bugs me when something is supposed to work and doesn't. My challenge is finding the right part number for that brake cable, which is what is broken. I did some searching and thought I had found it, ordered it and started to work on it today. After removing a couple of panels, I became clear what I ordered is too short AND does not have the right fittings. Drat!! Anyone out there have the parts schematics for the Buck 500? Does it show a part number other than VGA 12099? Somehow that is the part that one online retailer showed as the match. It is not. I'll pay the dog tax for your troubles.
