TDLR: spent £229,000 +vat on a fendt 940MT and after 600 hours I am being quoted £125,000 to trade it in. 2 years ago the farm bought a 940MT that had done 600 hours (1200 hours left on the warranty) for £229,000 +VAT. I have only just found out that it is on its second engine and that they melt like butter. So I was looking at a John Deere and asked a John Deere dealership what price I could get for the crawler (1200h) and he came back to me saying the best he could get from all the fendt dealerships he had been in contact with was £125,000 due to it being on its second engine and no one wanting them. Have I been ripped off, can I do anything about it or should I just accept my loss and use it until the engine breaks and write it off? Just to add I did not take part in the purchasing of this vehicle.

Looking for something for small grains. I see several around with 5000 engine hours, 3500 separator hours, about $16-18K. Dad had one in the late 90s, so did the neighbor. Are these still reliable machines?
Hi All, I have a JD 2940 and this metal line looks to be leaking/dripping. I can't seem to find it online as far as the parts catalogue goes. Does anyone know what it is and/or can tell me where to get a new one? It is near the pressure valve by the hydraulic filter and I think it goes to the SCV block. I just had to replace the hydraulic hose here. FWIW, I cant tell if this line is the cause of my drip leak but want to find out anyway and try to replace it.
