Known Issues
John Deere for sale. 8200 hours. Slight electrical fire damage. Just needs a paint touch up. DM me for details.
Looking into buying my first tractor, found a John Deere 2950 with 8200 hours and a loader. However the original owner removed the three-point arms when they purchased the tractor over 20 years ago. Being that I’m new to tractors I’m not really sure what is required to replace the arms so that they are operable again. Any help? Thanks.
I have a late 70's era JD 820 German model. Its got the 3 cylinder engine. Recently we used it to pull my wifes truck out of the mud when it got stuck, we pulled the truck a few feet and then she was able to drive out so the tractor had a minimal load on it for a few seconds. I drove the tractor over to another area of the property and shut it down and left it for a couple of weeks like that. It drove fine over to the spot I parked it. Went back and stated her up and put the left gear selector into II and then went to put the right selector into 2nd gear. All I got the grinding on the gears when I tried. Took it out of II on the left and could engage the right shifter with no problem. Reversed it and still got chatter. I was able to go into I on the left shifter and 1st gear on right and get it to slip in and move. Its in the shop and the mechanic asked me if I smelled clutch which I did not so he thinks it might be a simple matter of "unisticking" the trans. Otherwise it is a $2400 clutch job. Anyone else ever experience this?
Hi, Many years ago my father bought a JD 5820 used. The switch for the wipers has three positions OFF, ON and "Spray ". If I press the "Spray" button I hear the sound of an electric motor but nothing happens. I used to think that it was an extra and our tractors just didn't have it and didn't think much about it for years. Fast forward to yesterday when I saw that in the back of the tractor, there is a tank where it says please fill in with water in german. I put my finger in and it's filled with soapy water. In the manual it sais it's the tank for the windscreen wipers cleaning. So I guess the tractor does have a system of windscreen wiper fluid (I don't know the exact term on English), and it's broken Then I went to the online parts store and saw the schematic of the system and I fail to understand where is the nozzle: https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/9440/referrer/navigation/pgId/1268986 I looked for the nozzle for quite some time but I couldn't find it, the only thing I find in thus picture where something appears to be broken. Is here where the line of fluid goes? For me it doesn't make sense that it's in the side of the cab but IDK... Is it somewhere else? Does somebody know what is the issue, somethings clogged or we do have missing parts? Thank you in advance.
