Known Issues
I purchased a John Deere tractor model 5055E on 7th of May 2012. The tractor has insufficient power and excessive fuel consumption and unable to pull the implements which were being used by my earlier tractor John Deere 5310. Both the tractors gave same rated horse power. On my complaint to dealer Kiran Motors Patiala they sent an engineer. After half a dozen visits there is no change in the situa
2014 5055d - temp gauge won’t work. Temp switch is unplugged, but when I hook it back up the starter relay fuse blows. The white wire with red stripe comes from the temp sensor and then at some point was spliced, which apparently got pulled loose somewhere along the line. I can’t 1. Figure out why fuse blows when switch is plugged back up (bad temp switch, just ordered a new one) and 2. Figure out where the hell that white/red wire is supposed to go. The wires from the temp switch for a “closed loop” with the starter, in other words there are no wires going to the gauge console from that loop. Any ideas?
sorry, brand new to tractors, never even sat on one until yesterday. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I was running it for about an hour and and a half using the loader to push around dirt and brush pile to get the hang of things. Then I was using the rotary cutter over some grass, some fallen branches etc ... decided to take it down a trail that had thicker brush 2-4 inch skinny trees (jd mx-6 rotary cutter) .... 15 minutes down the trail, engine shut off and would not start back up. When I try to start it, fuel guage goes all the way up, then back down to half a tank ...... temperature guage goes all the way up, then all the way back down ..... assuming overheated and won't start until it cools off? ..... or burnt out the temp sensor and need a new one? .... thoughts? \-- edit -- used w/ 1,245 hours ... bought from dealer and they services it before it came to the house.
