Safety Recalls
Japanese manufacturer safety recall affecting the cooling system. Declared production window: 2012–2013.
Known Issues
Hey folks, I’ve had a Z740R for two years now, and it’s been great so far, but yesterday after I got done mowing, I decided to have a look at the idler pulleys and check them for any play or wear (since they’re sealed bearings and can’t be greased). I found that the bearings are pretty much out after only 125 hours on the machine. The mower isn’t used commercially and is only used once a week for a couple hours. Is anyone else having this issue from their Z740R? I checked with John Deere to see if it’s covered under the “4 year bumper to bumper warranty” and they said they’d check on it but they don’t think that it will be due to it being a “wear item”. I don’t think that’s to be considered a wear item, but I’m waiting on Deere to say what they think.
