Known Issues
Front PTO clutch seized after being adjusted due to wear. Clutch had visible wear issues and lasted only one snow storm after adjustment before seizing completely.
2013 John Deere 3320 with 300 CX loader unable to lift 1600 lbs pallets as dealer assured. Loader cannot lift rated load even at full PTO RPM. When adapter made for 3-point to accept pallet forks, 3-point struggles to lift 1000 lbs and makes whining noise.
New 2013 John Deere 3320 tractor delivered with low hydraulic fluid and low front axle fluid. Dealer did not check or fill fluid levels before delivery. Owner had to purchase and add own fluid.
Last winter I was having issues with the 332 operating the snow thrower so I sent it in for servicing. They told me the front PTO clutch was pretty worn and they could adjust it but it was on its last leg. It lasted one snow storm and seized. I want to fix the PTO clutch to then sell the tractor but I am not sure where to get started as far as parts. I am not too concerned with the labor but I am relatively new to mechanics. I am a very capable DIY doer so as long as I can find some decent instruction I can usually get it done. Is this a hard or long project to tackle?
I have minimal experience with tractors, but I’m not a complete dummy when it it comes to mechanics and machinery. What should I look out for indicating it may be a problem? 1200 hours, 2005, $20500. Comes with bushhog, plough, front end bucket, harrowing rake/cultivator and a grading blade. Gonna use it for small “hobby farming”/ homesteading. Will be going up hills and dragging out brush, and pulling a plow through clay. Thoughts or recommendations or “look for oil leak here” advice will be greatly appreciated
