Sensor underneath driver's seat not functioning. Fails to disengage PTO when operator leaves the machine, creating a safety hazard.

Starter produces no response (no click). Battery voltage normal at 12.5v, lights function normally. Relay tested and working. Issue suspected to be switch or wiring problem.

I had a John Deere 318 serviced for routine service and also had a relay switch replaced. The final bill was several hundred dollars over what they originally stated it would be. When we complained, they said if we couldn't pay, they would just sell our tractor to get their money. We had to borrow money to pay them off so we could get our tractor back.

My 318 John Deere is 30 years old and runs and cuts great... My yards have be from 1 acre to 4 acres over the years and never a problem... I hope it runs 20 more years. :)
