Today my JD 2350 exploded
low

I was baling a hay field, and saw white clouds coming from under the hood. Shut the engine, and looked - oil everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. The whole area under the hood is completely saturated, oil is raining from everywhere, there is so much of it, it is not even obvious where it is coming from. Now it is sitting in the middle of the field in an 8'x8' pool of oil. Questions: (a) what the heck happened, and (b) how do I decontaminate my hay field. I don't suppose machine oil is biodegradable, is it?
