Head gasket failed, likely due to use of ether for cold starting. Gasket failure occurred externally without oil contamination. Requires head job to repair.

Tractor won't start despite replacing battery, terminals, cables, starter, and alternator. Dashboard lights turn on intermittently and die when attempting to start. Lights can be temporarily restored by slamming the hood, suggesting loose electrical connection.

After rebuilding the carburetor, the engine starts fine but runs for only 2-3 minutes before dying, suggesting too lean fuel mixture. Engine also dies when going up slight grades. Can be restarted after a few minutes but repeats the cycle.

Muffler requires replacement on 1999 International Loral spreader.

Glow plug circuit requires repair. Owner is addressing this issue during head gasket replacement.
