We’ve got a 1984 7710 that has what seems like a shot injector pump. After some investigation we’ve found out only the first two cylinders were pumping diesel. When we drained the oil it looked like mercury and there was built up metal shavings behind the minimec plate which leads me to believe the cam is wore down. Anyone else had a problem like this? Send it off for a rebuild or try and find a new one?
