Pretty massive hydraulic leak on our Ford 3000. I imagine it’s something to do with the valve plate gasket, but wondering if anyone else has any experience with this issue. I know these old gas engine Fords tend to be leak machines, but this is definitely excessive.

I bought this Ford 3000 about a year ago and I'm trying to hook up a hydraulic top link and was told this is supposed to be for hydraulics but I don't understand how. Can anyone explain how to use this?

Problem Ford 3000 clutch

The oil pan had a repair that gave way and leaked the oil without me noticing. The temperature gauge wasn't functional so the first I knew was when it started smoking. I shut it down and it wouldn't start the next day. I've seen several videos where people get seized engines going again using various techniques, but they're seized from sitting idle not running without oil. Is it a lost cause?
