Repurpose used hydraulic fluid?

I needed to do a flush for my Ford 2000s transmission and wondered if when I drain my hydraulic fluid if I could use that? And probably the same thing for a bush hog I was going to repair, once I suction the old gear oil out maybe fill it up with the hydraulic fluid and do a flush and then put in the new gear oil. Anyone know if this is a bad idea or a good use for some used fluid?
